Crnic Institute Human Trisome Project Releases Virtual Biorepository

INCLUDE Data Hub study, the Crnic Institute Human Trisome Project, releases new Virtual Biorepository (VBR) feature to support easier access to samples and encourage collaboration between researchers.

The VBR allows users access to a biospecimen catalog for the Human Trisome Project (HTP) Biobank. In this dashboard users can explore the available biospecimens and their relevant metadata. The biospecimens included in the VBR were collected in compliance with the project Research to Develop the Human Trisome Project Biobank approved by the Colorado Multiple Institutional Review Board (protocol #15-2170)

The VBR includes a Biospecimen Request feature for seamless collaboration between researchers and biobanks. Users may submit requests to the HTP biorepository to receive samples for research purposes. The VBR aims to facilitate sample request processes to empower sharing, accessibility, and collaboration between researchers. Successful biospecimen requests will include a clear and detailed description of biospecimen use as well as project goals and hypotheses. Please email questions to dsresearch@cuanschutz.edu.
