The NIH INCLUDE Project hosted over 250 Down syndrome (DS) researchers, self-advocates, community members and DS advocacy partners at the INCLUDE Investigators Meeting hosted on the NIH campus, April 15-16, 2024.

Here’s an overview of the event:
- 68 Early Career Scientists: This included graduate students, post-docs, staff scientists and early-career investigators who were competitively selected to present research posters. Each poster offered unique insights and perspectives on DS research and care.
- 29 Presenters: Over the span of two days, these presenters shared scientific findings and lessons learned across all three components of the INCLUDE Project including Basic Science, Cohort Development and Clinical Trials.
- Perspectives from Self-Advocates: Attendees also had the opportunity to hear from three self-advocates supporting the advancement of DS research.
- Breakout Sessions: The INCLUDE Project hosted breakout sessions to encourage topic-focused discussions on challenges and gaps, opportunities for collaboration and future directions for the field.

For those of you who were unable to attend in person, we are excited to share that video recordings of the two-day event are now available online.
