The INCLUDE Data Coordinating Center (INCLUDE DCC) team attended the National Diversity in STEM Conference hosted by the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS). This year, collegiate to professional-level attendees gathered in Portland, Oregon, to learn about the latest in STEM research, gain professional development and make connections with hundreds of organizations at "the country's most extensive multidisciplinary and multicultural STEM diversity event."
The INCLUDE DCC staff gave demonstrations of the INCLUDE Data Hub, built a list of young multicultural trainees and investigators interested in Down syndrome research and data science, and shared training events and opportunities including the Data Science for Diverse Scholars in Down Syndrome Research (DS3) course. The DS3 course is hosted annually by the INCLUDE DCC at the University of Colorado Boulder campus. Be sure to sign up for the INCLUDE DCC listserv to get updates on events, INCLUDE Data Hub resources and more.
