Summary

This review of research was put together to present a comprehensive view of aging in people with Down syndrome. Many consider DS to be a form of accelerated aging or that people with DS are more prone to age-related disorders generally. The authors of this review hope that advancements of treatment of age-related disorders in people with Down syndrome will become more common and achievable.
